Hello beautiful ~ Meet Miss Rachel… she’s a senior at Thornapple Kellogg High School in Middleville and holy smokes was it so so so amazing to work with her. She’s crazy fun!!! We had the opportunity to start her custom senior photo shoot at her school field so we could incorporate her love for music, band, & her trumpet. It also included lots of laughs and “Oh MY – I love this shot and this one and this one”… lol. The rain clouds tried to intimate us but we faced them without fear and WON… which wow – made for totally awesome sky at her Lake Michigan beach location. A hop, skip, & jump away we made a little drive to Holland State Park where we took full advantage of the gorgeous views to highlight her fabulous style and stunning looks. Thank you Rachel for choosing me to create your senior portraits. I love your positive attitude and I’m in awe of all that you’ve already accomplished – you are AWESOME!
Please have a look at some favorites from Rachel’s session and enjoy a little Q&A fun ~
Q: What is your favorite school subject? What is your best school subject?
A: My favorite school subject is band, if that counts. I don’t think there’s anything at school I enjoy more than playing my trumpet with my friends. My best school subject is English, although it’s not my favorite.
Q: Do you have a “go-to” song that makes you feel good? What is it?
A: I love music, so this is so hard to choose! I guess my “go-to” song is probably “Natalie” by Bruno Mars, or “Panic Station” by Muse. I love to jam out while getting ready in the morning and in my car.
Q: What is one dream you have for your future?
A: I’d love to end up doing something in the medical field, with a family. But ultimately, my dream for the future is to be happy. I’m not sure what career I’m going to pursue yet, so right now all I can hope is that I figure out what I need to do in order to be happy in the future.
Q: What are you most looking forward to during your senior year?
A: I’m most looking forward to embracing all the “lasts”. I’m going to go through my last band concerts, my last time marching on the field, my last school play, my last exam, all of those things. I’m ready to embrace them, and prepare for a bigger and better future. I’ve earned it. 🙂
Thank you
