Meet Miss Taylor from West Ottawa High School – her senior photo shoot was perhaps one of the craziest (all good crazy fun) this season. The weather “inland” was beautiful, sunny, low wind, etc. so we met at the Holland State Park Beach as planned… that is where things get interesting. Aside from a few fishermen and brave tourists – we were the ONLY ones out at the beach that afternoon cuz it was WINDY!!! Like holy brace yourself type of wind – but that didn’t stop us for busting out some amazing images. The warm sunlight was gorgeous as it highlighted Taylors fabulous ginger red hair and her eyes – her sparkling eyes! At one point as we were photographing along side the pier my reflector flew (blew) into the water – and not wanting to just leave it, I ran down to a fishermen and asked if he could please, “fish my reflector out” – Bless him, he snagged that reflector on the 1st try (probably the largest catch of his day)! He walked it down to an opening in the break/pier wall so he could pull it up and just at that moment – HUGE GUST of wind almost plopped him into the water. It was so crazy but my reflector survived, the fisherman has a story of one crazy catch, & we all had a good laugh. We wanted to capture a few (not so wind in your face shots) so we also went to my Grand Rapids warehouse studio – gotta love tall buildings (aka: wind blockers). Taylor has super great style ~ sending her all the best in her bright future ahead!
