January 2, 2013
Wow ~ 2013 you sure did sneak up on me fast!!! 2012 was an amazing year and I can’t begin to thank everyone enough for all the support. Awesome clients, loving family, supportive friends, & great peers… you have all had a lasting impact!
I did take quality time to reflect on 2012 as it was super fantastic… met many goals, great memories, fabulous clients, professional opportunities, awards, etc… but I don’t sit still for long and it’s time to jump into 2013 with both feet, nose unplugged, & holding hands with anyone who wishes to be apart of an exciting new year!
Epic Edge Photography is in the process of a NEW LOOK! Not sure if it’ll be a facelift or a complete overhaul but after much evaluation, I decided that the look of Epic Edge Photography was ready for a change.
I’m not one who shy’s away from change, but I must admit that the process has been difficult. It’s funny to listen to conversations that go something like this, “But I like that color and I like that font and I like that graphic element” “But I also like this and this and this and oh, check this idea out” I blame it on the creative nature!
As personal artist and business owners, it’s common for us to want to interject a part of our own style into our branding… after all, behind Epic Edge Photography is ME. I’m who responds to your emails inquires, talks to you on the phone, shoots your photo session, edits & retouches your images, helps you pick your favorites and place your order, works with the lab for printing, packages your order for final delivery, & often I’m the one who personally deliveries your order to you. So, is it ok that I want a little purple in my studio brand? Sure it is…(or at least that’s what I tell myself). Now don’t go getting worried that things will look like a purple explosion – accent colors are wonderful little sprinkles of awesomeness.
It is also responsible as a business owner to build a graphic look that connects to your market and reflects the style/mood/emotion of your product. Makes sense right? Yep, now putting it all together!!!! HARD but super fun.
I’ve been reviewing fonts, color schemes, layouts, & creating tag lines for a few weeks.
Once designs have been finalized, I will start with updating the website/blog, business cards, facebook, marketing materials, and so on. It’s a process (to say the least) so I do ask for your patience while we (yes, we… I can’t do this alone) work on the updates. All information will remain current & services will always be TOP priority… things might just look a little “here and there” for a bit. Cool?
Thanks so much!!! I’m super excited for the NEW LOOK and all the amazing adventures that 2013 holds. Including… new portrait service (oh yeah… so much crazy fun going on)!!!
